The Hosted Payment Session model gives you the flexibility to decouple the initiation of payment from the collection of the card details. This means you may initiate a payment at the time of collecting the card details or at a later stage in the checkout process. A good example for the latter case is when a payment form collects additional information such as a discount coupon code. This information may contribute to the calculation of the total payment amount. For example, a website for an online pizza shop may include the following pages.
